The short version

Maincourse stores your lesson progress on your device. We use an account to let you sign in and a purchase service to confirm access. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we process

When you sign in, our authentication provider, Clerk, may process your name, email address, profile image, authentication identifiers, and sign-in method. If you use Apple or Google sign-in, those services process information according to their own privacy policies.

RevenueCat processes purchase identifiers, product and subscription status, transaction history, app user identifiers, and limited device or app information needed to validate purchases and restore access.

Lesson progress

Completed lessons, quiz progress, streaks, and unlocked guides are stored locally on your device and separated by signed-in account. Maincourse does not currently sync this course progress to a remote database. Removing the app or resetting progress may permanently delete it.

How we use information

We use information only to provide sign-in, confirm paid access, restore purchases, keep the app secure, answer support requests, and meet legal obligations.

Sharing

We share information with service providers only as needed to run the app, including Clerk for authentication, RevenueCat for purchase management, Apple for App Store payments, and Vercel for this website. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

Retention and choices

You can reset local course progress from Profile. You can request help with your account or personal information by emailing us. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and our purchase provider as required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Age requirement

Maincourse is intended for people aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
